What is this? Ive had a fever of 104 for a few days and now its followed by a rash?

Ive been feeling ill. It started w/cold chills then lead on 2 a fever of 104 then Id sweat it out, only 2do it again ina few hrs.This has been goin on for the past few days. I went 2 the doctor &they said I had tonsilities - infection in the tonsils, which then right after my docs visit my throat started to hurt like I had strpt throat . doc gave me anitbiotics, which helpd da cold sweat &fever, however my throat still hurts,& it got worse &now I have a rash all over my body &in the gums of my mouth...it looks like almost a heat rash, however the rash on the bottom of my feet and on thumbs are irritating..and a bit hard - like there's puss in there? Now here's the kicker. My 7 mth old daughter just went through the exact same thing & her doc had told me it was becuz of her 6 mnth vaccine shot, that she had a week ago. The doc said she was having a bad reaction. so she was not given any anitbiotics, but was told to take baby motrin. Her fever lasted 4 days & rash lasted another 4 days
